APPOINTMENTS & REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

EMIS Access is the new and convenient way to book appointments and order repeat prescriptions over the internet.

EMIS Access is a 24 hour online service which you can use in your own time day or night.

Using EMIS Access,you can now order repeat prescriptions, view, book and cancel appointments at Strathmore Medical Practice from home, work or on the move, or wherever you can connect to the internet.The service can also be used to advise the practice if you change your address, telephone number or to advise us of your email address

Patients must register individually as appointments can only be booked for the patient to whom the registration details apply. For more information on how to register please click on the monitor below.

Please note that any patient found to be booking unneccesary appointments or failing to cancel appointments which they are unable to keep may find their access to the system denied.

Patients who normally collect their repeat prescriptions from a chemist should indicate the Pharmacy of their choice by typing in the name and branch in the text box at the foot of the order form. Other information such as reasons for early requests can also be entered in the box.

Your prescription will be ready for collection 48 hours from when the surgery next opens following your submission. Please allow a further 24 hours if you have opted for collection from a chemist.

Please note that prescriptions will not be issued before the due date unless requests contain a valid reason. Patients should also note that until the prescription is issued an "Awaiting action" message will appear on the screen. Any patient still receiving this message after one working day is advised to contact the surgery for advice. A list of chemists who collect from the practice appears below.

All information that is sent to the surgery via EMIS Access is secure. Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so it cannot be intercepted. Only you and your GP practice are able to see this information.
